Dental Coating using Emax Veneer Technology
What are Veneers?
Veneers are very thin dental coating shells often made from cosmetic porcelain materials with a thickness between 0.5 and 2 mm, used to cover the facial (frontal) surface of the teeth to hide any visible flaws. Veneers are also utilised to change the length or size of teeth and are considered one of the best ways to improve the appearance and colour of teeth.
Overview
of the Procedure
In preparation for Veneer coating, the dentist begins by taking an impression of and filing the selected teeth for the procedure, these impressions are then sent to the laboratory to manufacture the requested Veneers to the exact measurements of the patient’s teeth. In the following session, the dentist will test the received Veneers on the patient to ensure optimal satisfaction over the look, size, and colour of the Veneer shells. In the final step of the process, the shells are glued very firmly to the teeth.
Post-Op & Aftercare
Dentists recommend abstaining from consuming any staining foods or drinks such as coffee and tea. In addition, the patient is advised to refrain from smoking and maintain good oral hygiene to prevent any damage to the teeth and keep the veneers in the best possible condition, preventing tartar build-up by using a high-quality toothbrush.
Anesthesia:
In most cases of dental Veneer coating procedures, anesthesia is not needed as the process is pain-free, involving only the outer layer of teeth. However, a local anaesthetic can be applied if requested by the patient.
Duration of Stay:
The patient must remain in Istanbul until all tooth coating sessions are performed, after the consultation appointment. Depending on dentist confirmation, there will be no need to stay once coating is finalised, which takes a minimum of 5 days.
